1:1 Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy sessions are evidence based treatment sessions to help you overcome difficulties such as depression, anxiety, stress and trauma. Sarah will support you to formulate and understand your current difficulties and what is maintaining them. Sarah will support you to implement practical tools and techniques learned in the therapy space to make changes in your day to day life to overcome your difficulties and to reach your goals. Essentially you will learn skills that you can continue to apply for life.

What are CBT sessions?

  • A Collaborative process.

  • 50 or 90 minutes

  • 6 (short term) to 20 (long term) sessions

  • Empowers you to manage your mental health, learn how the mind works, and how you can influence your own mood and emotions

  • Involves looking at psycho-educational materials and information

  • You will be given specific problem focused CBT tools and techniques tailored to your needs

  • You will finish your treatment with a tailor made metaphorical tool box you can use for life

  • We will agree in between session tasks for you to practice using your new CBT tools and knowledge

  • Aimed at overcoming symptoms of anxiety problems such as OCD, health anxiety, social anxiety, generalised anxiety and worry, panic and agoraphobia

  • Aimed at supporting women with antenatal and perinatal depression and anxiety

  • Aimed at overcoming phobias such as driving, flying and needle phobia

  • Aimed at understanding and overcoming PTSD, reducing nightmares and flashbacks of single event trauma’s

  • Aimed at overcoming symptoms of stress and overwhelm

  • Aimed at overcoming low mood and depression

  • Aimed at overcoming low confidence and self esteem

  • Aimed at improving assertive communication and relationship difficulties

  • CBT for Insomnia (CBTi) Aimed at improving insomnia and sleep related difficulties

1:1 Coaching

A coaching session with Sarah is designed to get to the the crux of your particular challenges. In 60 minutes we will work together to understand your main difficulties and look at specific tools and techniques tailored to your needs to overcome them. You will leave the session armed with a plan of action to enable you to reach your desired goals. Whether you are feeling stuck or facing challenges in life or at work, a coaching session with Sarah will help you get to the crux of your difficulties. Together you will identify tools and techniques you can apply in your life to navigate these challenges, find some clarity and work on your goals.

What are coaching sessions?

  • A collaborative process to understand where you are now and where you want to be.

  • Focused on exploring your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

  • Understanding your values in life.

  • To help you feel empowered and supported to implement evidence based tools and techniques in your own life.

  • Solution focused.

  • Focused on overcoming difficulties such as stress, anxiety, low confidence and self esteem.

  • 2-6 sessions. If further support is required we will discuss what this might look like for you.

What to expect from 1:1 coaching with Sarah

  • 1-2-1 evidence based psycho educational session.

  • Work together to understand your presenting problem.

  • The session is active, you will be introduced to psycho-educational materials, tools and techniques.

  • Regular summaries throughout the session will foster a collaborative understanding of your difficulties and the tools identified to overcome them.
